Oktoberfest with Traditional Fare and Drink Specials | September 30  –  October 5

We’re honoring Frankfort, Illinois’ German heritage by celebrating Oktoberfest with traditional Oktoberfest fare and drink specials from September 30 to October 5.  Founded in 1855 by German pioneers, the town is named after an early settler’s hometown of Frankfurt, Germany.  Today, Dancing Marlin embraces the area’s German roots with upcoming dinner specials including: House sauerkraut $4; hand-cranked, beer braised bratwurst (2) to an order $8; German-style potato salad $4; potato pancakes: crème fraiche, apple mostarda (4) to an order $6; Bavarian pretzels: sweet mustard and cheese dipping sauce (4) to an order $7; beer and cheese soup shooters $2 each; pork schnitzel sliders (2) to an order $8, and a strudel dessert $7. Oktoberfest drink specials include a German chocolate martini, coconut rum, white crème de cacao, Frangelico, and whipped cream $9; and the Oktoberfest Cocktail with Honey Whiskey, bitters, ginger beer and an original German beer, Hofbräu München. $9 Beer specials include: Hacker Pschorr Oktoberfest $6, Stiegl Radler, $6 Hofbräu München $7 Sweetest Day Specials| Saturday, October 18 There is no better way to celebrate Sweetest Day than with a special menu for that special someone in your life. We’re offering Sweetest Day Chef’s Specials on Saturday, October 18, including: oysters on the half shell, from British Columbia, “Kusshi” oysters (Japanese for precious), cucumber mignonette, fresh grated horseradish, $3 each; lobster bisque shooters, Maine lobster, sweet cream, and Sherry, $4 each; seared “Labelle Farms” foie gras, Vermont maple syrup, six-year-old aged Vermont sharp cheddar cheese, green apple, macadamia nuts, $18; heirloom tomatoes & buffalo mozzarella, Annabella’s Creamery “Colombia” buffalo milk mozzarella, “Tomotopia Farms” heirloom tomatoes, torn basil, finishing olive oil, Sonoma sea salt flakes, $14; seared jumbo diver scallops (2), house smoked bacon and sweet pepper jam, $18; Onaga (Red Snapper) for two, from the big Island of Hawaii, pan roasted Onaga, charred pineapple, fingerling potatoes, Kauai Hearts of Palm, baby heirloom tomatoes, ginger broth, $34; 16oz prime NY strip steak for two, Hooks blue cheese & shallot butter, fingerling potatoes, “Hen of the Woods” mushrooms, demi-glace, $58; and complimentary to all the ladies on Sweetest Day, Chocolate Dipped Strawberry, “TCHO” dark chocolate, caramel and sea salt. Autumn Harvest Chef’s Dinner | Wednesday, October 29 at 6:30 p.m. Celebrate the changing seasons by enjoying fall flavors during Dancing Marlin’s Autumn Harvest: A Seven Course Fall Feast Chef’s Dinner, on October 29, at 6:30 p.m. For $70 per person (plus beverages, tax and gratuity), guests will enjoy an interactive 6-course meal as Dancing Marlin’s culinary leaders take you through a sensory dining experience. Begin your journey with Ile de France brie with Foie Gras butter, caramelized pears and crostini. Course two puts a new twist on a fall classic: garlic-roasted Brussels sprouts, ‘low ‘n slow’ spicy Portuguese sausage and crispy parsnip chips. Course three includes: butternut squash gnudi with crispy prosciutto, fresh sage butter. Followed by a palate-cleansing intermezzo: Granny Smith apple with wasabi sorbet, honey, Domain de Canton gelee. The fourth course is comprised of an Autumn vegetable risotto: Amish chicken breast, porcini mushrooms, cranberries. Enjoy wild truffled mushrooms during the fifth course, featuring pan roasted “Hen of the Woods” mushrooms, truffle butter & fresh thyme. The final course presents pork shoulder with braised Berkshire pork, balsamic roasted pears,  and crispy Brussels sprouts.
