As a seafood staple in the Chicago South Suburbs, we’re ecstatic to be able to take part in the “foodie” culture, where restaurant goers and adventurous appetite chasers take their reviews of local eateries to the Internet. Not only do we see our establishment pop-up on traditional restaurant sites such as Yelp and Open Table, but our guests post shareable snaps, comments, and praises to Instagram, Facebook and Twitter as well. With all of the excitement surrounding our Mid-Summer Menu launch, we’ve thoroughly enjoyed the interactive feedback we’ve received via social media sites from patrons old and new.Moments after posting a tempting photo of a new Mid-Summer dish, the fig and the pig, Facebook users put in their two cents about the savory, succulent plate. Twitter is another platform we love utilizing for ongoing table talk with our guests. One patron shared her top picks from our Mid-Summer Menu, among them were our whitefish dip, lamb meatballs, and calamari tacos. Dancing Marlin even had the pleasure of welcoming in NBC’s award winning meteorologist, Andy Avalos, for a night of shared plates in Frankfort, Illinois! Lately we’ve seen quite a few pictures of our new menu item, the bone marrow, featured on Instagram. Anthony Bourdain deems it “God’s Butter”, it appears as though a guest of ours did as well! We applaud these bold eaters for trying a dish not commonly offered on menus. We can’t thank our fans enough for the social media support they give, we hope they continue to visit our establishment, and bring along new friends, to eat. drink. share.
