Ed Nemec of Dancing Marlin discusses our communal Kitchen Table with Kris Kridel of WBBM-AM

Last week our seafood loving skipper, Ed Nemec, chatted about all things Dancing Marlin with Kris Kridel during the WBBM-AM Noon Business Hour “Lunch Money Friday” segment. In case you missed the interview, here are a few highlights: As a South Suburban Chicago native, Ed passionately spoke about bringing our inventive, small plates concept to the Frankfort area, where a shared dining experience is rather unique. Kris and Ed also discussed the perceptions of the Chef’s communal table, which we lovingly refer to as The Kitchen Table, located adjacent to our bustling open kitchen. At first, guests reluctant to sit with strangers met our Kitchen Table with some apprehension, but now it is a destination table for couples, friends, colleagues, strangers, and strangers who want to become friends. The atmosphere buzzes with excitement and creates a sharing environment for up to 18 people.  The next time you visit Dancing Marlin, ask to sit at The Kitchen Table and experience it yourself! In closing, Kris asked Ed what one dish he would recommend. Ed suggested Kris come in to Dancing Marlin to try our jumbo lump crab stuffed peppers, and we invite you to sample them too! We take the best jumbo lump crabmeat, stuff it into mild Spanish piquillo peppers, and serve them with a pickled shallot remoulade. Be sure to ask one of our knowledgeable servers which of our 18 wines on tap will pair nicely with your shareable dish!
